World of Warcraft: Forever will launch worldwide on November 4, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. PST. That’s 10:00 a.m. AEDT on Thursday, November 5 for us in Australia. It’s included with a regular WoW subscription or Game Time, so there’s no box to buy.
Blizzard finally revealed the long rumoured “Classic Plus” at BlizzCon 2026, and it’s not another limited season. The pitch is a permanent new home for Classic players: the original world, pace and level 60 cap, but with a new race, new zones, new dungeons and raids, and years of planned updates. This site has covered plenty of WoW over the years, so this one’s a bit of a homecoming.

WoW Forever itself is included with a World of Warcraft subscription or Game Time, same as Classic is now. On top of that, Blizzard is selling three optional upgrade packs on the Battle.net shop (US prices below, local pricing will differ):

There’s also a physical Collector’s Edition with a 13 inch Dwarf and Bear statue, mousepad, art prints and pins. In Australia it’s available to pre-order through retailers like JB Hi-Fi and EB Games.
What’s Included at Launch
- Level cap stays at 60, with post-60 progression through stories, reputations and raid tiers. No flying, no level scaling.
- New race: the Skyborne, an offshoot of High Elf exiles who can join either the Alliance or the Horde. They start on the new Zephras Isle.
- New zones: Mount Hyjal, the Riverglades, Shen’dralas and Zephras Isle, plus reworked existing zones.
- 1,000+ new quests and 9 new dungeons.
- New race and class combos, including Forsaken Paladins and Dwarf Shamans, plus rebuilt talent trees.
- Darkspear Islands, a new 15v15 battleground mixing control points, capture the flag and defence.
- Four rulesets: Normal, PvP, RP and Hardcore.
- Quality of life: transmog, account-wide Legacy rewards and a new Campfire social feature.
- Visual options: pick between SD and HD character models, classic style animations and UI options, so you can keep it looking like 2004 if you want.
Raid Roadmap
- December 9, 2026: Barrow Deeps (10 player) and Hyjal Summit (20 player)
- Spring 2027: two more raids (10 and 20 player), two dungeons, a new zone and a legendary questline
- Summer 2027: a revamped iconic raid, a brand new raid, two dungeons, plus profession and Legacy updates
Blizzard says it plans to keep adding phases for years, which is the big difference from Season of Discovery.
