Welcome back to another week of my transmog gold farming experiment! This week was a bit different as I was a tad busier than usual, so I couldn’t dedicate as much time to farming as I normally have. But, as always, I’m here to share my progress. Let’s dive in and see how my week went.
If you are just jumping in and would like to see all of the weekly updates in this series click here.
What I Farmed This Week
This week I farmed the following:
- Island Expeditions for 1 hour 49 minutes
- Blackfathom Deeps for 15 runs in 1 hour 1 minute
- Iron Docks for 10 runs in 39 minutes
Total time spent transmog farming this week = 3 hours 29 minutes
So as you can see with only about 3.5 hours farmed this week I’m about 3.5 hours short of farming time than usual.
I was back transmog farming island expeditions again this week and while I had intended to spend the majority of my farming time this week doing these islands, I was a little busy so I only spent just under 2 hours farming here.
With the sales of much of my Spiked Chain gear stock I decided to do some more Blackfathom Deeps this week in order to try and restock on them. While I didn’t manage to get any of these to drop I did get an Onyx Claymore and a couple more nice items.
Like I had planned to last week I returned to Iron Docks to see if I could restock on some of the items that had sold since the last time I was here (week 2). With a mere 39 minutes spent here this week though, I’ll be sure to continue farming this dungeon next week.

Gold Earned
This week I made 52,823g here is the breakdown:
- 48,558g from transmog in 44 items
- 2065g from trade goods
- 2199g from raw gold + vendored gold
So overall a slow week with not much moving on the AH, but this isn’t an unusual thing in transmog farming and selling, especially when it’s your only source of gold.
Transmog Sales Breakdown
Here is the transmog sales breakdown for this week:
Price Range | Items Sold |
0g-500g | 9 |
500g-1000g | 4 |
1000g-10,000g | 23 |
10,000g-100,000g | 2 |
100,000g-Max Gold | 0 |
For this week you’ll notice that I didn’t add the gold amounts made per price range and that’s because those numbers are missing chunks of information and are unfortunately entirely inaccurate.
However on the bright side I believe I’ve found out the reasons behind my issues with the TSM sales tracking. Essentially I had made separate groups for different expansions and upon looking at my sales for WOD transmog nothing came up besides one item.
What I’ll do for next week is just throw all my tmog items under one large group without separating them by expansion and see how it goes.
Notable Sales
Item | Sold For |
Wolfclaw Gloves (Razorfen Kraul) | 6175g |
Pattern: Dusky Leather Leggings | 4889g |
Recruit’s Robe | 3883g |
Pattern: Deviate Scale Belt (Wailing Caverns) | 3098g |
Bloodforged Gauntlets | 3001g |
Plundered Molten Reaper (Island Expeditions) | 2375g |
Spirewind Fetter | 2252g |
Wild Marauder Bracers (Island Expeditions) | 2537g |
Linked Chain Cloak x 2 | 1140g (2280g) |
Recruit’s Boots | 1035g |
Next Week Goals
So as mentioned earlier I plan to merge all my transmog groups into one big group in hopes that it solves my TSM sales discrepancies. I still plan on doing more Island Expeditions, Iron Docks and Uldaman.
Last week a reader proposed I use a shorter route for Uldaman and I’m looking forward to testing it and seeing how it goes.
Wrap Up
At the end of this week I have 943 total transmog items with a total market value of 7.2 million up on the auction house.
Price Range | Total Items |
0g-500g | 297 |
500g-1000g | 201 |
1000g-10,000g | 384 |
10,000g-100,000g | 52 |
100,000g-Max Gold | 9 |
It’s now obvious that my 1000g-10,000g range is where the bulk of sales and total gold usually comes from each week and I feel that this will continue in the following weeks.
Last week (week 4) in the 0g-500g range I saw the largest amount of total sales (54), however this week it dropped to a total of 9.
Gold Per Hour Calculations
I end the week with 426,993g and I am slowly closing in on 500,000g (half a million gold). Maybe I’ll cross the line next week?
Criteria | Total Time | Gold Made (during criteria) | Gold Per Hour (GPH) |
Total time farmed this week | 3 hours 29 minutes | 52,823g | ~15,092g |
Total time farmed this week + posting times | 3 hours 29 minutes (farmed) + 1 hour 30 minutes (posting) | 52,823g | ~10,564g |
Total time farmed this series | 39 hours 56 minutes | 426,993g | ~10,674g |
While the weekly GPH calculations look decent it’s due to my low time spent farming this week. If I had farmed my usual amount the GPH calculations would look a bit worse.
That wraps up this week, thanks for tuning in again and I hope to see you again next week, as always if you have any questions or recommendations please feel free to leave a comment down below!
